She was a shy kid who wanted attention but wanted to control how she got it. That is how Kathleen Gallagher discovered performing. She could put on a costume, create a story and make everybody watch. This allowed her to create extensions of herself that never came out in her regular life.

This extended game of make believe led Kathleen on an unexpected journey. In 2007 she started training professionally with Onalee Ames and tapped into an unexpected gift. As she learned how to break-down scripts and figure out the character’s point of view, she was able to understand herself and others better. She started to think about emotions and behaviour more critically and could determine what motivated it. She now had a stronger compassion and understanding of others and that became her reason for pursuing acting and now filmmaking. She is also the coordinator of OurToba Film Network.
